Product Description

EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 3382 is a low viscosity modified cycloaliphatic amine adduct designed for use as a room temperature curing agent for epoxy resins.

General Information

EPIKURE Curing Agent 3382 is an effective converter for most epoxy resin types. It is compatible with both reactive diluent modified resins and conventional bisphenol A resins. Table 1 lists the cured state and handling properties for typical systems cured with EPIKURE 3382. Table 1 illustrates the broad range of cured state properties attainable using EPIKURE 3382. The effects of the lower epoxide functionality of the diluent containing EPON™ Resin 813 and EPON Resin 8132 are reflected by significant increases in flexibility and decreases in strength, modulus and solvent resistance. The resistance of EPON 828/EPIKURE 3382 system to long term exposure to a variety of chemicals at room temperature is illustrated in Table 2.

 

EPIKURE 3382, used as the curative in epoxy resin systems, has the ability to cure at high humidity conditions with minimal adverse effects of surface blush or amine carbonation ("sweat-out").

 

EPIKURE Curing Agent 3382 is compatible and can be used in combination with most aliphatic and cycloaliphatic amine curing agents to modify handling characteristics or cured state performance.
