EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 8530-W-75

Product Description

EPIKURE Curing Agent 8530-W-75 is a water-reducible polyamine adduct supplied at 75% weight solids in water.  It does not contain any organic solvents or acids.  This versatile waterborne curing agent can be combined with a solid epoxy resin dispersion to produce ambient-cure metal and concrete coatings. EPIKURE 8530-W-75, when combined with the solid epoxy resin dispersion EPI-REZ™ Resin 7520-WD-52, provides a cost-effective, high performance alternative to traditional solvent-borne coatings systems. This new system is called the NextGen Epoxy™ Waterborne System.

Application Areas/Suggested Uses

  • Metal primers for ACE, railway, and transportation coatings
  • Concrete primers/sealers or gloss topcoats
  • Semi-gloss floor coatings for basements, warehouses, etc.
  • Institutional coatings (gyms, schools, hospitals, etc.)
  • Block-fill coatings
  • Grouts and putties

  • Ultra-low VOC for concrete (<50 g/L) and metal (<100 g/L) coatings
  • Superior corrosion resistance (1000 hours ASTM B117)
  • Fast dry times and good hardness development
  • Long pot life with high gloss profile
  • High solids with low viscosity for easier handling
  • Excellent adhesion to metal, concrete and other masonry substrates
  • Low amine hydrogen equivalent weight provides lower curing agent demand
