EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 3213

Product Description

EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 3213 is a solution of an aliphatic amine adduct in a mixture of xylene, propylene glycol monomethyl ether and methyl isobutyl ketone, and is designed for two-component epoxy coatings. Performance features include good chemical, solvent and corrosion resistance, film hardness and toughness. A reduced tendency towards amine carbonate formation is evident relative to unmodified aliphatic amines. EPIKURE Curing Agent 3213 is primarily intended for use with solvent solutions of EPON™ Resin 1001. For specific applications, EPON Resin 1004 solutions may be used. A high equivalent weight allows for formulation of two component systems having convenient combining ratios.

General Information

Possesses good compatibility and performance with solvent solution epoxy resins such as EPON Resin 1001-CX-75. Application may be by brush, roller, squeegee or spray. Best performance is achieved by allowing an induction time of one hour prior to application. Induction is recommended in order to produce cured glossy surfaces under adverse conditions of high humidity and/or reduced temperature.
