OilPlus™

Premium Resin Coated Sand with Stress Bond™ Technology

DESCRIPTION

OilPlus™ proppants are an advanced curable resin coated fracturing sand available in 16/30, 20/40, 30/50, and 40/70 mesh sizes. OilPlus proppants are specifically designed for fracturing treatments in oil and liquid-rich reservoirs. Hexion’s unique resin coating system increases the relative permeability to oil in the proppant pack, resulting in higher oil production compared to all conventional proppant types.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Fracture treatments:

  • At closure stress up to 55 MPa [8,000 psi] (16/30) and 69 MPa [10,000 psi] (20/40, 30/50, and 40/70)
  • Where higher oil flow and proppant flowback control are desired

TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS

  • Optimized well production for oil and liquid-rich reservoirs
  • Unique technology increases the relative permeability to oil in the proppant pack
  • Reduces proppant fines generation and migration
  • Helps prevent proppant flowback
  • Stress Bond™ technology helps prevent wellbore consolidation
  • Frac fluid and beaker friendly

TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Grain-to-grain contact must occur and closure stress must be applied during the cure period for proper bonding
  • Consolidation of curable product at bottom-hole static temperatures below 71°C [160°F] is achieved by use of our AcTivator™ low temperature consolidation aid
