Epoxy Novolac Resins for Increased Heat and Chemical Resistance

High-functional EPIKOTE™ and EPON™ Epoxy Novolac (EN) Resins are specifically designed to:

  • Increase glass transition temperature (Tg)
  • Improve thermal resistance
  • Improve mechanical resistance
  • Improve chemical resistance

Increasing the functionality in epoxy resins allows formulators to achieve higher crosslinking densities and significant performance enhancements. A variety of backbones are available with functionalities between 2.5 and 8. Epoxy novolac resins are broadly utilized as primary epoxy resins or as modifiers in multi-resin systems.
