EPIKOTE™ Resin 246

Description

EPIKOTE Resin 246 is a low viscosity epoxy resin, based on a blend of a bisphenol A resin (produced from bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin) and a bisphenol F resin (produced from bisphenol F and epichlorohydrin), and containing an added proportion of a difunctional epoxidised alcohol as reactive diluent.

The resin has a low volatility and lack of odour, factors which are responsible for its agreeable handling characteristics. As judged by laboratory tests EPIKOTE 246 does not crystallise on storage.

Benefits

  • Low viscosity
  • Low volatility
  • No tendency to crystallisation
  • Good pigment/filler and substrate wetting
  • Imparts excellent mechanical  performance
