EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 3289

Description

EPIKURE Curing Agent 3289 is a solvent-free, highly reactive, modified aliphatic amine that gives high gloss, high clarity films with liquid epoxy resins (e.g., EPON™ Resin 828). It gives good cure response at low temperatures and provides superior blush-resistance.   With standard Bis-A epoxy liquid resins, it offers good resistance to water, inorganic acids and bases.  Chemical resistance can be increased by combining with Bis-F epoxy resins like EPON Resin 863 or with epoxy phenolic novolac resins like EPON Resin 161. EPIKURE 3289 is not recommended for strong solvent- or organic acid exposure. It can also be used as an accelerator for moderately reactive curing agents like polyamidoamines and cycloaliphatic amines.

Benefits

• Good cure at low temperatures (40 – 50 °F)
• Improved blush-resistance relative to highly reactive amines
• High gloss films with EPON Resin 828
