EPIKURE Curing Agent 8538-Y-68 is a water compatible, low viscosity, modified polyamine adduct to cross-link epoxy resins. It is supplied at 68% weight solids in ethylene glycol monopropyl ether. This versatile curing agent can be combined with liquid epoxy resins, epoxy resin solutions or epoxy resin dispersions to produce highly filled, ambient-cure cross-linked systems for a variety of engineering and protective coating applications.
EPIKURE Curing Agent 8538-Y-68 is primarily designed to formulate highly filled, low VOC protective coatings for metal substrates. The low viscosity and good wetting character of this curing agent makes it a very versatile grind vehicle for pigments and fillers for general protective epoxy coatings. EPIKURE Curing Agent 8538-Y-68 offers good application properties when applied by roller, brush or spray equipment. This curing agent is particularly useful to make excellent two components, zinc filled epoxy coatings when it is combined with solid epoxy resin dispersions (advice and formulations at request).
