Epoxy Resins and Versatic™ Monomers for Masonry Coatings

Our epoxy resins and curing agents enable the formulation of tough, resilient concrete and masonry coatings that are highly resistant to chemical attack and abrasion. Such coatings are typically used on floors or walls exposed to chemical spills, high traffic, or repeated treatment with harsh cleansing agents. Among other things, Hexion offerings include:

  • 100% solids epoxy resins
  • Extreme chemical resistance (e.g. to acids, bases and solvents)
  • Abrasion and damage resistance

Waterborne epoxy resins

  • Ultra-low VOC
  • Low viscosity
  • Faster dry
  • Excellent adhesion to concrete

Our VeoVa™ 10 vinyl ester can be co-polymerized with (meth)acrylates to produce emulsion polymers known as VeoCryls. VeoCryls are suitable for masonry primer applications and deliver excellent water, alkali and efflorescence resistance.
