Adhesive performance is proven in use—when materials expand, surfaces flex, and conditions shift. From structural wood to tile adhesives and rubber-to-steel applications, long-term bond strength depends on how well adhesion holds under heat, moisture, load, and time.
That performance starts with the chemistry. VeoVa™ vinyl ester monomers and Versatic™ acids give formulators precise control over strength, flexibility, cure speed, and moisture resistance. That means more time to work, better surface contact, and bonds you can rely on even under heat, moisture, and load.
VeoVa™ vinyl ester monomers are equally well suited for wet vinyl and acrylic latex polymer systems as well as redispersible powder polymers, enabling consistent performance across both liquid and dry adhesive technologies.
The result is process consistency and relentlessly reliable production. With extended open time, strong wet and dry adhesion, better self-leveling and reduced water absorption, our chemistries help improve process reliability—so customers can build stronger bonds with confidence from the start.

Reduce variability and support more stable production with chemistries built for dependable processing and end-use results.
When demanding conditions put pressure on rubber-to-steel adhesion, a tire manufacturer needed a solution that would improve bond strength — but not come at the expense of mechanical performance or process stability.
Hexion helped develop a cobalt salt adhesion promoter based on Versatic™ Acid 10 for this application. In standard tire formulations, it delivered consistent rubber-to-steel adhesion across cure conditions without loss of bond integrity.
What started as a performance challenge became a stronger production advantage. With benchmark-level results, improved handling and stability, and greater control over variability, the manufacturer gained a more dependable path to long-term tire performance.
