SmartPF changes how phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resin is applied in real time, adjusting its molecular weight and viscosity to reduce overpenetration, improve distribution, and deliver stronger, more consistent bonding.

PF resin is critical for durability and moisture resistance. But because PF can penetrate unevenly into the wood structure, mills often compensate by using more PF than necessary to ensure consistent bonding.
That margin protects performance, but drives up unnecessary costs while limiting efficiency.
